See You At Maker Faire Detroit 2013

Maker Faire Detroit 2013 is quickly approaching. The event takes place July 27th and 28th at The Henry Ford in Dearborn, Michigan. As usual, I will be there both days manning our company exhibit. I don't know exactly where I will be at, but I assume it will be inside.

This year the exhibit is a Kinect Green Screen photo kiosk and two iPad e-mail kiosks. Guests will be able to pose in a variety of fun Michigan and Detroit oriented scenes; take their photos, then e-mail them. You'll be able to find me if you see a huge monitor on a floor stand and two ipad kiosks.

I am very pleased with the drastic improvements I was able to make on the default Kinect depth stream for use as a Mask in the Green Screen effect. Below you can see two images of me during testing. Both images have a post blur being applied to the mask, but you can see the drastic improvement. Stop by the exhibit, and I'll hook you up with the source code.
